KJV: And
the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and
to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
The jet plane came down out of the sky erratically because the pilot was trained but inexperienced. The airplane fell rapidly from the sky at a 45-degree angle into the twin towers.
[17] And the seventy returned
again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy
name.
[18] And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from
heaven.
[19] Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions,
and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

An abyss (Greek αβυσσος = "having no bottom", "bottomless") is a bottomless depth or deep place. In biblical literature the word is usually used to refer to a pit; to the underworld; to the deepest ocean floor; or to hell.

KJV: And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
When the airplanes struck the Twin Towers, which in itself is a place of great wealth and greed, smoke and fire escaped like from a huge furnace.

KJV: And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
Locusts swarm and eat a large amount of green vegetation and leave a path of destruction. These airplanes, like locusts, ate a lot of our green -- the color of our money. After September 11th, people of America, especially those with financial and stock market investments, felt the sting to the American economy when the values of their financial holdings fell.
In the Bible, a swarm of locusts comprised the eighth plague in the story of the plagues of Egypt. Proverbs 30:27 tells us that 'the locusts have no king, yet they go forth all of them by bands', including them as one of the four little wise things. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Locusts

KJV: And
it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither
any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal
of God in their foreheads.
The planes struck the twin towers up in the sky and did not harm the plants or trees but only the people not having the seal of God. These people are worshipers of money, credit cards, and retirement savings. They have the Mark of the Beast, which symbolically is the number 666.
4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. [a] 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
KJV: [1] And Moses called all
Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I
speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.
[2] The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
[3] The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even
us, who are all of us here alive this day.
[4] The LORD talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst
of the fire,
[5] (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the work
of the LORD: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the
mount;) saying,
[6] I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt,
from the house of bondage.
[7] Thou shalt have none other gods before me.
[8] Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any
thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in
the waters beneath the earth:
[9] Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the
LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the
children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,
[10] And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my
commandments.
[11] Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the
LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
[12] Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath
commanded thee.
[13] Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
[14] But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou
shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant,
nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy
stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may
rest as well as thou.
[15] And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that
the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a
stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath
day.
[16] Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded
thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the
land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
[17] Thou shalt not kill.
[18] Neither shalt thou commit adultery.
[19] Neither shalt thou steal.
[20] Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour.
[21] Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour's wife, neither shalt thou
covet thy neighbour's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant,
his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbour's.
[22] These words the LORD spake unto all your assembly in the mount out
of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great
voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and
delivered them unto me.

KJV: And
to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be
tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when
he striketh a man.
The torment was the fallen stock market and the value of the funds after 9-11, and the following 5-month period resulted in a financial blow to the American economy. It was like a sting to lose that money and everyone watched his or her mutual funds and stock values fall. Bob and I each lost about one-third of the original values. How about you?

KJV: And
in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to
die, and death shall flee from them.
People in general are not happy because they are looking for happiness outside of God’s plan. A lot of people will want to commit suicide but they usually don’t go through with it or are stopped by their families when they are sent to psychiatric wards where they are put under suicide watch.

KJV: And
the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on
their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces
of men.
The appearance of the jet planes is as a horse dressed in silver armor like a horse from medieval times and later. Like these horses, airplanes are covered in metal.
On their heads were good deeds of God – he is not happy about the greed and wealth of America and they have forgotten God’s law and have been consumed with greed for money, which is the root of all evil.
The front of an airplane has windows for eyes and a nose that makes it look like it has a face.

KJV: And
they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
Horses have manes of hair that run the length of their neck -- the necks of the jets are long like that of long hair on a woman -- they reach to the rear of the plane. Long hair on a woman will fly straight behind her in a strong wind.
The teeth of the plane is the nose of the plane that “bit” through the walls of the Twin Towers like a lion biting into its live prey.

KJV: And
they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their
wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
The airplanes are completely covered in armor, like a horse dressed in armor for battle (see verse 7).
On the wings of the plane are the jet turbine engines, which are very loud like the sound of many chariots. Al Qaeda raced these planes into battle.

KJV: And
they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and
their power was to hurt men five months.
The height of an airplane’s tail is 52 feet – that is a little over 5 stories tall. The tail sticks up over the body of the plane just like a scorpion’s tail.

The airplanes caused enough structural damage to the twin towers to make them collapse which brought on a downward spiral in the economy for five months. The catastrophic loss to our financial sector and the value of mutual funds invested via the New York Stock Exchange and the (NASDAC) caused a sting in retirement funds and other investments.

KJV: And
they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name
in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
There are two names above and there were two airplanes that destroyed the Twin Towers, caused thousands of deaths and crippled the economy. The king or angel may be the leader of Al Qaeda, which is Osama Bin Laden, who masterminded the attack of September 11, 2001, or 9-11.

The two airplanes had a king whose name means:

bound in the great river Euphrates.
There were four airplanes on September 11th -- two that struck the Twin Towers, the third struck the Pentagon and the 4th was aimed for the White House, which was diverted into a field in Pennsylvania by its passenger heroes.

KJV: And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men.
“four angels” are probably the four pilots of the jets or the jets themselves:

“to slay the third part of men” means it did not kill a third of the human race but about one-third of the money of investors. People now equate respect with wealth so if you have lost your money, you have lost your self-respect even though wealth is not valuable in God’s Kingdom.

heard the number of them.

KJV: And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
“horses…having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone” means the horses were the airplanes of United and American Airlines --both have red and blue colors representing their company logos and colors.

KJV: By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.
Three out of four planes struck their targets damaging a third part of a man’s investments.

KJV: For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails
were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
The power of the planes was in the mouth or head of the airplane where the planes entered the twin towers. The rear or tail of the plane rises up like that of a rattlesnake. The tail of the plane created enough height so that a number of floors of the World Trade Center building were compromised after the impact and subsequent fire, which caused the buildings to collapse.

KJV: And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet
repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils,
and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither
can see, nor hear, nor walk:
There were many killed on 9-11, the remaining citizens were horrified, but did not repent. Instead, we grieved quickly but still complained about our lost dollars while we continued to work and shop for material wealth. We did not turn to God and we did not see our faults. God is stating here that our excessive gain for material goods is the same as idolatry worship and that we have forgotten our one and only Living God.

KJV: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
Sinners guilty of the above would still not repent after 9-11.
